Support the Council For Jews With Special Needs through Birdies for Charity.
Last year we raised over $2,000 from the Phoenix Thunderbirds!
Help us surpass this amount in 2012.
You’re invited to be a part of the golf action at the 2012 Waste Management Phoenix Open through the tournament’s Birdies for Charity Program. The program centers around the PGA TOUR professionals making birdies – lots of them – during the 2012 Waste Management Phoenix Open (Jan. 30 – Feb. 05) at the TPC Scottsdale). Don’t worry; you don’t need to be much of a golfer or even a golf fan for that matter to participate in the Birdies For Charity Program. What’s important is that by participating, you’ll be helping out the Council For Jews With Special Needs.
In recent years at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, the PGA TOUR professionals have averaged about 1,500 birdies during tournament play. What does that mean? Well, if you pledged one penny for every birdie made, your pledge would amount to $15.00. If you pledged two cents per birdie, it would be $30.00. It’s really pretty simple.
Now you may be asking who receives your pledge? Well, we do – the Council For Jews With Special Needs. The Waste Management Phoenix Open and Thunderbirds Charities are giving organizations the opportunity to generate funds from this fun promotion and the Council gets to keep every cent collected. Plus, as an added bonus, Thunderbirds Charities will match 10 percent of the total amount of pledges we collect. So if we collect $10,000, that’s an extra $1,000 for us.
The program is simple. After the tournament, Thunderbirds Charities will bill you for the amount of your pledge written on the official pledge form.
